She walked downstairs
"I knew Granddad would be okay with it. Lemme teach you some things about our house, starting with the morning," I yawned the next day, waking up. I pulled on my clothes and threw some at Jeremy. Then, I left down the hallway to brush my teeth. I brushed quickly, waiting for him to hurry up. "Catch up, Jeremy!" I yelled. "But I wanted mustard!" He joked. We both laughed. "Hey, Emilly!" "Yeah?" "Can I hold your dumbo rat in my pocket for the day?" "Sure." I handed him the bundle. He put it in his pocket. He started into the bathroom and brushed my teeth. I sang the song of my classmate Taylor Coleman to speed myself up. "I used to know my place was a spot next to you..." I finished brushing and went into the kitchen. I picked up a banana and the milk carton. I drank directly out of the carton and ate the banana. "Time to get on the bus!" I said when Jeremy was done. We got on and spent the whole day normally, well, mostly. The plague had sickened so many students that only 9 students were there, and Jeremy still had the dumbo rat in his pocket. Classic Jeremy, it led to something big.
