For several years, Maggie doled out advice to readers in her weekly newspaper column, SHAYNE ON YOU. Her advice was always practical, always positive, and chock full of life lessons that proved beneficial to anyone who read it. Her column was largely based on her own philosophy on life, which boils down to something like this:
If you don't like what you're seeing on the outside, then it's probably time to make some changes on the inside.
Now, Maggie has gathered the best pieces from her column and put them together, along with some blog posts and original essays full of sage wisdom and deep understanding in this new book, SHAYNE ON YOU.
Within its pages, you'll find advice and suggestions on:
*Waning Sex Lives
*Aging, Death, and Taxes (Just kidding about the Taxes)
And everything in between, all shared with the heart, wit and honesty Maggie's readers have come to expect. And in the process, she will reveal the true meaning of life on Planet Earth.

Most Helpful Customer Reviews
I have always been a big fan of Maggie Shayne's books and when she posted on Facebook that she had compiled her "Shayne On You" advice columns into a book I jumped on the chance to get a copy. It was a pretty safe bet that this wasn't going to be your every day "Dear Abby" style of advice. With no subject off limits and no bowing to political correctness, she provides straight forward advice that urges her readers to take responsibility for their own lives and their own happiness. No matter if the topic is about love or money, health or employment, the core of her message is strong - believe in, have faith in, take care of and love yourself first. Genuinely touching, often amusing and always on point, she says what needs to be said. Everyday you have the chance to create the life you want, it's your choice to let it happen to you or gain control by taking the reins. You'll walk away inspired to look within yourself for the answers so many of us look to others for. LOA followers will find much of her advice is a good primer in applying the LOA principles. How many of us have delved into LOA only to get tripped up with "but if that's true than how come..." or "I focused and nothing happened"? While never preaching, this Universal Law is so ingrained in her thinking you can't help but find clarity to many LOA misconceptions in her words. Somewhere between the covers you will find something that resonates with your life and her words will only inspire you.
